This week our focus has been on finding the theme of a story. Today we read fables, annotated the text for unknown words, used context clues to determine the meaning of those unknown words, found the theme, and then explained why that was the theme using evidence from the story.

Step 1: Divide using Partial Products
Step 2: Check your work using multiplication
Step 1: Round the divisor (2nd number in division sentence)
Step 2: Write out multiples of your divisor (multiplication facts)
Step 3: Find the closest multiple of the divisor
Step 4: Cancel out any Zeros (divide by 10's)
Step 5: Divde
This morning our class learned how to play "Switch" on the basketball courts. They were able to practice sprinting short distances around the basketball court.
Today was our first day using our new computers! The students were extremely excited to take them out and get started.
